What a great store! Tortillas are the best!!!! And a bar in a grocery store????? Whaaaaaat? Yep Lowes in Alamogordo has it Al, just like Bogey and Bacall!
ONE YEAR UPDATE: This review update makes me sad. Changing from 5 stars to 1 star. There’s an unsanitary flaw at Lowe’s Signature, and it’s right at the front of the store. The pepper roasting shed is filthy. The big metal roasting drum has bird poo and bits of roasted peppers on it. There’s an open box, lined with a trash bag, of pepper bits and other food garbage, that’s been sitting on the ground for THREE MONTHS. This is a wonderful grocery store in the area with signature and speciality items including fresh made tortillas/tortilla chips/churros (the kids can watch and see being made and they offer them a hot fresh tortilla to eat), freshly made sushi, salad bar/fire oven pizza/bakery, and many organic and local options. I LOVE the bakery! The items are made fresh daily and I highly recommend the green chili cheese bagel or challah bread. What a great market! I am visiting from El Paso. As soon as I walked in I noticed the BEAUTIFUL plants. They were healthy and reflected the care of the floral associate, Brooke. I loved admiring the shamrocks, philadendrons, and flowers.I am bringing home à lovely gardénia. Smiling. I picked up brisket and the deli associate was kind and took care when preparing my order. My husband was impressed with the cigar choices.
This store is one of my favorites. It’s clean and has good prices. They have a great selection of desserts in the bakery area, they have a Sushi station, with great sushi. They also have a great selection of beers, wines, and liquors! The fresh tortillas they make daily are warm and delicious.
